Testimonials

Woody & Katrina
From the family of Elwood Kallas:
"Our dad loved Katrina. The care our dad received went far beyond medical treatment. She cared for him with dignity, compassion, and attention to every detail, including his comfort and clothing needs. He truly lit up when she walked into the room, and it was clear how much her presence meant to him.
Our family lives in other states and couldn’t be there in his final moments. When our dad took a turn for the worse, she called us and gently reminded us that hearing is the last sense to go. She asked us what his favorite music was and played it for him. We imagined dad was dancing to Zorba the Greek, Opah! She put her phone to dad's ear while we were able to talk to him and reminisce on the memories that we hold precious, and to say our goodbyes.
We will be forever grateful for the comfort and peace she provided for our dad. Katrina was compassionate, and deeply respectful and not only supported our dad, but our entire family with kindness, patience, and empathy."

"Beyond her excellent clinical skills, Katrina consistently demonstrated deep compassion, patience, and respect. She took the time to truly know my parents, treating them not only as patients but as individuals deserving of dignity, kindness, and love. Her ability to balance professionalism with heartfelt care set her apart. As a daughter who lived over 700 miles away, it gave our family peace of mind knowing they were in such capable and devoted hands.”

Don Manley - Brother
"In August, 2014, I was soaking wet from being showered with a bucket of water while participating in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Little did I know that within the following year, my brother, Ron, would be diagnosed with this terrible disease, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.
I discovered a local ALS support group in Knoxville. Katrina Kepf, a nurse, facilitated the support group and worked with ALS patients and their families by helping manage their care and appointments. Katrina provided the information and education we needed, sharing it with compassion and concern for my wife and me.
After my brother's battle with ALS ended in October 2019, Katrina continued to provide the support and comfort we needed and has become a dear friend.”
